General Assembly runs live, cohort-based courses in data science, software engineering, digital marketing, and UX design, with full-time and part-time formats. It's one of the longer-running names in the bootcamp space and is now part of the Adecco Group, one of the larger global staffing firms — a relevant detail if career placement and employer connections matter to you, since staffing-industry backing can mean broader hiring relationships.
Who this format tends to fit
- People who want a live, scheduled classroom experience with a defined cohort moving together
- People weighing employer and staffing-network access as part of the decision, not just curriculum

GI Bill eligibility, for veterans and dependents
General Assembly accepts GI Bill benefits — including Post-9/11 (Chapter 33), Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (Chapter 35), Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter 31), Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30), and Reserve Education Assistance (Chapter 1606/1607) — for select software engineering, data science, and UX design courses at select campuses.
Two limits worth knowing before you plan around this: benefits currently cover full-time, in-person courses at the listed campuses only — part-time formats aren't eligible, and online is approved on a case-by-case basis. Using the benefit typically consumes six to eight months of entitlement. Confirm current eligible campuses and courses directly with GA's admissions team, since program locations and approvals can change.
For comparison: as of this writing, we found no evidence that Springboard accepts GI Bill benefits directly, and neither program currently appears on the VA's reauthorized VET TEC 2.0 provider list — a separate, smaller benefit program from the GI Bill.
